Carlos Alberto Peña Rodríguez (born 29 March 1990 in Ciudad Victoria, Tamaulipas) is a Mexicanfootballer currently playing for Club León in Liga MX as a midfielder.[2]
Carlos Peña is known as "Gullit" due to having the same appearance as Netherlands Ex International footballer Ruud Gullit.
International career
In late 2012, Peña was called up by José Manuel de la Torre to play for Mexico in the World Cup Qualifiers against Guyana on October 12 and El Salvador on October 16. He also got called to play a friendly against Peru.
Peña was called up to participate in the 2013 Gold Cup. After a disappointing Gold Cup for Peña and Mexico, they would see themselves knocked out of the competition by eventual Runner-Up Panama.
He was later called up by Miguel Herrera to the 2014 FIFA World Cup Qualifying matches against Panama and Costa Rica. He scored his first international goal against Finland in a friendly match on October 30, 2013.
